Paranormal Hunter ♥
By the time Paranormal Hunter hit her four year old season, the big bay daughter of Flash Limits and Foolish Entity had nothing left to prove. That is a very rare accomplishment for a filly to achieve and while it is not an accomplishment that will win her a trophy, it is one that makes Paranormal Hunter a worthy legend.
She won 19 races in her career, 16 of which were Horse Of The Year races, but it was the horses she left in her wake that gave her her reputation. No matter the gender, colt, stallion, filly, mare, no matter the age, no matter how fresh or how seasoned, Paranormal Hunter could take on everything she threw at her. Her best weapon was her unbelievable closing kick that she utilized without mercy in every race she ever ran in.
A winner of races from the six furlong Hawk Cup to the eleven furlong Champagne Stakes, and most distances in between, Paranormal Hunter was absolutely lethal. Few horses have been able to win a major sprint stakes, get named the Turf Mile and Overall Mile champion and win a leg of the Turf Triple Tiara.
She was uniquely her own dominating horse and she was a threat every time she hit the track. A well respected runner, most of her competitors had to hope that their kick was better than hers. She didn't run on heart, but simply her overpowering physicality and late speed. Her talent spoke volumes and she capped a stunning 11 win season with a victory over older horses in the Breeders' Cup Mile.
She proved her courage though when taking on a different sort of challenge as a four year old in her only start of Year Fourteen. Despite demonstrating a relative dislike for the sand, Paranormal Hunter won the Dubai World Mile in a performance for the ages over Innocent Passion and Passion Heart.
It wasn't her longevity or her massive amount of her wins, it was her sheer dominance and her ability to run down most everything she faced. It was quite clear that Paranormal Hunter was only getting better from two to three, only getting better from three to four. She was the perfect machine.
